Industrial metal from the North West
Back in 2018, Leatherback emerged from obscurity with a unique sound to the metal scene in the North West, spawning the release of a 4-part conceptual release "The Cycle".
A prolific writer, Leatherback followed the success of this series of EPs with a string of releases, delving deeper and deeper in to the depths of heaviness.
Moulded by influences from the likes of Nine Inch Nails, Ministry and Godflesh, Leatherback became known for his dynamic and brutal sound, addressing such themes as social issues and the human experience, whilst delivering a characteristic mix of ambience, fury and fragility, with a live show to match.
Being described as a "hallucinogenic" experience, Leatherback takes pride in providing a confrontational show that stands out from the noise.

Leatherback has been steadily gaining pace since he began in 2018, honing a visceral and confrontational live show to support a steady stream of releases.
This has led to him sharing the stage with names such as; Blood Youth, Death Blooms, Blaze Bayley and Kunt and The Gang
Leatherback is currently working on a new concept series of EPs due to begin releasing in mid 2024 which will form a full length album.
This will be supported by more shows all across the UK where Leatherback will be joined by Winter Hotel drummer, Charlie Wignall for live drumming duties.
